Lots of Preparation

The last two months have been full of fun and flown by! November was spent with family. We drove to New York for Thanksgiving and saw family that we have not seen in a long time. When we got home we visited the OB who put me on bed rest for a week since I was dialated to one centemeter. After that week Jacob and Mommy spent a busy week preparing for Christmas just in case baby Blake decided to come early. Last week the Dr. informed us that I am now dialated to three centemeters and the baby has dropped. We can expect our little blessing any day! Today we made a trip to Babies R Us and got the last few things we needed to make Blake's room ready for him to come home.

Enjoy the pics from the last few weeks!

When the bucket was too heavy and the legs too tired we had trusty dad to sail us through the rest of the neighborhood!

Fall Fun

This Monday John had the day off from work so he joined us on a very fun fall playdate! We visited Patterson farm where we got to take a wagon ride, feed goats, see hoarses and cows, play on a cool play ground, and most fun of all pick a pumpkin!!! Mondays are our normal day to play with Jacobs friend Andrew so he was able to join us on this trip! Andrew is a little older (he is 3) but Jacob loves to play and run wild with him! Jacob loved getting to walk through a big field full of pumpkins and pick the one that he liked best. He attempted to drag it to the car in his bag, but it became a bit heavy so dad carried it the rest of the way. Jacob loved the playground at the farm. One of the attractions was a tire walk...a row of giant tires you could climb over or go under. This particular day was a bit wet and cold yet Jacob still chose to bear walk under the tires, stopping of corse after each one for mom to wipe the mud of his hands....boy cant have dirty hands :)

Thank you so much Nick and Holly for setting up this playdate!! We had so much fun!!!!!

What a month!

Wow....September was a crazy month!! We have been full of sickness and busyness! For October we vow to take it much easier and spend a lot more family time together with no sick family members! As the holidays get closer we are getting very excited! I love Christmas!! Jacob is getting so smart and growing so quickly I think he is really going to appreciate the holidays this year! John has been forewarned we will be going all out and expect to be on the roof hanging those Christmas lights this year! :) We are also anticipating the arrival of our newest addition right after the holidays and are getting very excited! Blake is growing right on track and is a very very very active little guy. Blake and Jacob already fight as Jacob tries to squish his brother to get all mommies loving and Blake attempts to kick him off. :)

WOW!!!

Looking back over my blog and the pictures of Jacob, it boggles my mind how I am going to possibly love another being as much as I do this little boy!! I know that I will, I just can't comprehend the amount of love I am going to have and how full my heart is going to feel! Over the last year Jacob has changed in amazing ways....we have gone from nursing, to finger foods, sitting up on his own, to crawling, walking, eating full meals, and now running every where and communicating with words! Looking back at his one year pictures I see a nervous mom and dad letting Jacob trek the dangerous terrain of the park (hahaha), dad on one side to catch him and mom on the other to get him started. Now he runs from us and plays hide and go seek! I am so excited to start this adventure over again with Blake and to continue this amazing journey with Jacob!

Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I do!!

It's a BOY!!!!

That is right...Jacob is expecting a baby brother!! At 18 weeks 2 days little baby Blake weighed 8 ounces. Blake is expected to arrive January 13th! At this point mommy has gained 8 pounds and according to daddy (our math genius) mommy can expect to be 14 times larger than she is now if Blake weighs ruffly 7 1/2 pounds. Thanks for pointing that out daddy!!! :) We go back to the doctors in two weeks for a check up.

Big Boy!!

Our little boy is getting so big!!! He is finally getting used to our new house and enjoys running through the down stairs and playing tag and hide and go seek with mommy and daddy. He also enjoys looking out the front windows and watching the "broom brooms" (big trucks) doing construction on the house across the street! Although his weight and height have not changed much, his features and personality have changed a lot! Simple toys on the floor and a baby show on tv just don't cut it any more!!

Enjoy the pics of our little man!!!

Enjoying some time on vacation hanging on the balcony with mommy!

Admiring the goat while at the zoo with dad....crazy goat!

Life is good....got my milk and playing with rocks in the house :)

If I arch my back just right and stand high enough on my tippy toes I can get this!! :)

Life is changing.....FOR THE GOOD!

I know that I have not blogged in a long long time....and so much has changed in the last month! We are now living in our beautiful home that we thank God for every day!! Some have been begging for pictures so I took a few of the most completed rooms in the house. As for me, I am getting bigger by the day and very tired. Jacob is a runner and always on the go and keeping me busy!! He loves the pool in our neighborhood and would stay all day if he could (even with blue chattering lips!). His newest word is mine and it seems he has forgotten everything else he knows. Now if he sees something of his that he wants instead of asking for it he just points and says mine. If you are putting away a toy he wants or putting his milk in the refrigerator he points and loudly states MINE! John is always busy and working hard for the bank! He is still on the hunt but we are sure God will put him where he is supposed to be.

My pictures do this house NO justice!!! Jacob was on my hip trying his best to help so most of the pictures are crooked.....

Grass to come in October!

Dinning Room (second room of the house after office)

(everything needs some paint, but it will all come together)

Building Under Way!

We are so excited to see our house finally taking shape!! Not that we do lot love living in someone elses house and living with limited items and out of boxes.....we can not wait for our house to be done! In one week we have seen our house go from a two block high foundation to what you see below!! Jacob is so active these days he is going to love having all this new space to run around!

GROWING TO FAST!!!

I have not been blogging as well as I would like in the last couple of weeks....but for those who know us best I am sure understand why. We have been very busy moving into temporary housing (or so we will call it), building our new house, raising a VERY active one year old, and enjoying a great vacation. We have had a lot going on in our lives in the last few weeks but it has certainly made us appreciate each other a lot more!!! And appreciate those closest to us! I have attached some pictures from Jacob's awesome one year birthday party. We had so much fun and thank you to everyone who came and shared it with us! Vacations pictures will come as soon as we get settled and collect them.

Jacob as always is growing up WAY to fast!!! Although he is still small in weight and height he makes for such a cute little guy walking around. Jacob's vocabulary is growing too! Although all his words are not perfect he does his best to get the sounds. For example he started saying grandma this week and he says it by saying the "g sound" and then ending with "ma" Although that technically is not a full word we surely count it! And nothing is cuter than to see him use his baby sign language! His favorite sign is all done, but he also signs more and cracker. We are not quite sure why cracker and not food....but hey we get the idea, it is time for a snack! :)

Enjoy the pics!!!!
