And then there were 3.....

Yes we now have three grand babies in our family! Ian was born Monday night weighing 8 pounds 8 ounces and 20 inches long. Jacob and I went to the mountains for his birth and had a great time at Grandpa and Grandmas house! Jacob is growing so fast and now has two bottom teeth and his top two teeth are coming in. Teething seemed to be easy at first but proved itself quite ugly the first night at Grandpa and Grandmas house, Jacob ran a fever most of the day and through the night and was quite cranky. Thankfully he was much better Monday and ready for cousin Ian to arrive. We have found that teething cigars have proven to be the most effective and I love them because they are all natural (thanks for the recipe whitney!!) Jacob enjoyed playing with cousin Kelsi and hugging cousin Ian during our visit, but most of all he LOVED playing with his Grandpa. Jacob is a Grandpa's boy for sure!!! He sometimes even picks Grandpa over mommy!

So what new things is Jacob doing.....

* He has started to wave using his hand and opening and closing his fingers (not just waving his arm any more).

* He has learned to point using one finger (he does this sometimes).

* He is cruising around our house on anything he can hold on to (and can stand alone and take steps but only if he feels like it....lazy boy).

* He is attempting to feed himself with his spoon...what a mess!

* Today he started doing the vroom sound while pushing his cars around.

Enjoy our pics!

EXPLORING

Jacob is learning the joys of exploration. Jacob has always been good about playing by himself and often wonders around the house and I find him sitting and talking to something. Jacobs newest discovery has been the joys of playing in our dog crate. Yesterday afternoon Jacob was being very quite and I decided I needed to leave the dishes and go check on him. As I came around the corner I spotted him.....playing in the dog crate! Jacob is cruising around the house on anything he can pull up on...so like he would anything else he pulled up on the crate and walked right in. Although the thought of him playing in the crate was quite disgusting to me, it was too cute not to take a few pictures and share!

Family Fun (SNOW) Day

IT SNOWED!!! We got about six inches of snow last night and spent the day enjoying a family fun snow day! Today we met up with Paula (mommy's friend), Tallan (Jacob's friend) and his family and enjoyed some sledding on the golf course. Jacob was not entirely sure of what to think, but sure did enjoy watching daddy trying to snow board on the sled and falling (hahahaha). After sledding we went to lunch at Burger King and Jacob enjoyed a mac and cheese kids meal! Following lunch Jacob took a great nap and then went shopping at Target with mommy. We could not have asked for a better day!!! We love snow days!!

These pictures are of our family fun day, a recent play date with Nick at our house, a play date with Tallan after bring a friend day at the little gym, and around the house.

ENJOY!!

Twenty minutes and five layers later we are ready to go!
