Texas

Flight for four to Texas: $800, Nine people sharing a three bedroom house and a table that seated six: a little tight, Five kids 2 and under: always busy, Spending one week with some of our closest friends: PRICELESS!!

We had such a great time visiting the Williams in Texas. Every day was a fun adventure! We visited the children's museum, bounce house, zoo, went on golf cart rides around the neighborhood, and even took everyone to a hibachi grill (mind you we took up an entire grill) :). Jacob loved playing with Farrah, and Blake was glad to have two little guys to crawl around with. John and Cannon had a special bond. Whenever Cannon got upset you could count on John to go and grab him and then Cannon was a happy guy. It only took us about a day to be able to identify the boys and less than that to absolutely adore them! Farrah is a beautiful little girl and super smart! Jacob had such a good time playing in the evenings in her room with her and Caleb in her tunnel. One of the best parts was after 8pm when all the kidos where sleeping and the adults played some fun board games and the Wii (women usually took the win ;) ). We really appreciate the Williams for having and hosting us for a week!

Time flies when you are having fun!!

Wow! I can not believe how fast time has flown by! Blake is 8 months old and Jacob is 2 1/2!! These boys have been amazing little men in my life! It is so sweet to see them play together and look for each other. Jacob is already looking out for his little brother and making sure big kids don't play with his toys, and is always sure to yell "MOM Blake is crying" or "MOM Blake is awake". Jacob is a great big brother! Blake is attempting to crawl and can scoot on his bottom and belly to where he needs to go, but just rocks on his hands and knees. His most amazing move is his unsupported stand that he does for 10 to 20 seconds at a time. He is growing so fast! Although he does not have any teeth he sure is an eater. He loves finger foods and eats a lot of mum mum bars, puffs, yogurt melts, and cheerios. He is still working on grasping the concept of drinking out of a sippy cup, but he sure can chew on one :) Jacob is such a big boy now, potty trained, sleeping in a full size bed, and basically running this house :) He is my big helper and sometimes thinks he can do it all without mommy...got to love 2 year olds :)

Family Vacation 2010

This year we had an awesome time spending our vacation at Myrtle Beach. We were so lucky to have Mammy and Bopa go with us. The boys loved the water and Jacob would have swam all day if we had let him! Although we brought "everything but the kitchen sink" as John would say while dragging the wagon through the sand, Jacob was simply content to run from the waves with his Bopa. Blake would spend the first 30 to 45 minutes sitting at the edge of the water while the waves rushed up his legs and then nap the rest of the morning under the tent. Most of Blakes awake time was spent enjoy the tastes of the beach....including the water and sand, hahaha silly boy!! We had so much fun and hope to return next year when we will have two wild water boys running in and out of the water.

Six Months of Amazing!

The last six months have been absolutely amazing!! Blake is growing so fast weighing 17 pounds at his six month check up. I love watching my two little men grow and bond! You would never know that two little people could be so attached to each other. Jacob is always asking "Momma where is Blake??" and Blake always has a huge smile when he sees his brother. Blake is eating homemade baby food and working on mastering the skill of a sippy cup, he has also recently started eating baby yum yum snacks (such a fun adventure). He is sitting up on his own and playing cars with his brother on the floor. Blake loves to be outside and you can tell he can not wait to be able to run around with Jacob....he nearly wiggles his way out of your arms to get down! Jacob has discovered the joy of photography and we have to hide our cameras. Toy story is one of his favorite movie (second only to Madagascar) and we have a lot of toy story paraphernalia, including a toy camera that will appease him for a short time (until he realizes the real thing is more fun). Jacob has had a lot of fun in vacation Bible school this summer. His favorite song he learned at Bopa's church "One True God". It is so precious to hear him sing it around the house and wave his arms in the air. Although I will have to say my favorite song he sings is his personal rendition of "Lover, Lover". His version says "Brother Brother Brother you don't treat me no good no more" HAHAHA. Got to love what they can come up with :) God has truly blessed us with an amazing set of boys!

Trains, Movies, Water OHH MY!!!

Summer is proving to be a blast! We have taken a trip with Mammy and Bopa and their church Pals group to Tweetsie! We had so much fun!! Jacob loved it more than anyone else I think. We have gone to a movie with Jacob's best buddy Nick and then had a ton of fun playing in the fountains at Birkdale. Good friends, great family, plus summer time equals tons of fun!!
